How this started
I have always been the person who gets pulled into confusing topics because someone nearby says, "Can you explain this in normal words?"
It started with friends asking about websites, domains, online tools and basic tech problems. Then I got interested in 3D printing after trying to turn a small digital model into a real object and discovering that "just print it" is a deeply optimistic sentence.
Crypto entered my life through beginner confusion: wallets, seed phrases, exchanges, digital asset platforms and all the dramatic vocabulary around them. Science came from late-night curiosity spirals — the kind where one simple question turns into string theory at 1:17 AM.
One evening I tried to explain crypto wallets to a friend using house keys, a notebook, and a terrible drawing of a door. The drawing was bad. The explanation worked. That was probably the moment I realized I enjoyed this more than I expected.
I kept becoming the person friends asked to explain these things. Instead of repeating the same explanations in messages, I started Jane Decodes.

Why "decodes"
Complex topics often look scary not because they are impossible, but because they are badly explained. Too many guides assume you already know the eighteen hidden things required to understand the first sentence.
I got tired of that. So I dig in, take notes, remove the buzzword fog, and try to explain things the way I wish someone had explained them to me on day one.
